The Libby Garet Intervention is free sequel of The Avery Shaw Experiment. You can read it separately, but be ready that in Libby there is Avery and her geek team  in a bit important role, also some events are mentioned. But I don't thik they're esentially for understanding.

Review

The book is new adaptation of the classic fairy tale Cinderella. There is no doubt how the story line will end after reading of abstract. So why you should read this book?

The problem with fairy tales is that most of them bigin with tragedy. I understand the reasoning behind it. No one likes a pampered heroine.

The answer is easy, because it's book by Kelly Oram and it's very pleasant to read it. And even you know the main plot of the book you don't know about many nice details. You never get bored.

The story is told by Ella's as well as Cinder's point of view. So you always are courious for next chapter, different point of view, different events. I have to say that I really like both stories I really liked both of the characters.

Even if you could expet that the book is only about the typical love story, it's not true. There is much more in the the book. Especially in the Ella's story, after her accident she never be the same in one way but in the other she is the same as she ever be.

The author makes Ella's story interesting. She showed the cruelty of people, judging according to the first sight in the contrast with strength of true love.

I grow fond of majority characters in this books, one for all Juliette. Meeting the Kyle Hamilton from V is for Virgin book in the story was a moment of surprice and fun for me. And also it was only for short time.

To sum up I would like to recommand the book to all fairy tale lovers especially of Cinderella, to all who likes happy endings and book where you can find pearls of wisdom.

Hollywoodská senzace Brian Olivera má reputaci potížisty. Vše se točí kolem jeho role v novém filmu The Druid Prince. Brianův mangementský tým tvrdí, že pokud se chce posunout od miláčka teenagerských filmů na seznam seriózních herců musí nejprve prokázat, že jeho divoké dny už skončily a dospěl. Aby uhasily plameny Brianovy reputace "zlého chlapce" (pardon jsem si nemohla odpustit :D), donutí ho k falešným zásnubám s jeho hereckou kolegyní Kaylee. Brain touto dohodou není nadšen, ale rozhodne se to udělat, pokud to znamená, že získá nominaci na Oscara. A potom obdrží překvapující e-mail od své staré kamarádky z internetu, který změní všechno.

Hodnocení

Kniha je jak již název vypovídá adaptací klasické pohádky o Popelce. Už tedy jen po přečtení anotace a názvu knihy je vám jasné jak to všechno dopadne. A přesto, proč si právě máte přečíst tuhle knížku?

Anotace

Sedmnáctiletá Pierce se málem utopila v bazénu na zahradě domu svých rodičů a vyvázla jen zázrakem. Událost byla posledním hřebíčkem do rakve rozkládajícího se manželství jejích rodičů a Pierce se s maminkou přestěhovala do ostrovního městečka jejího mládí, kde žije i babička a strýček s pochybnou pověstí. 

Po počátečních obtížích nachází ve škole nové přátele a setkává se i s tajuplným, ponurým, lehce agresivním, ale právě proto nesmírně atraktivním Johnem Haydenem, který se objevuje vždy, když to Pierce čeká nejméně, ovšem zaručeně přesně ve chvíli, kdy potřebuje jeho pomoc. Pierce o něm docela jistě ví jen jediné – je temný, půvabný a neodolatelný, ale není to žádný anděl. Kdyby mu propadla, byla by navždy odsouzena k existenci v místech, která ji děsí a kam se v žádném případě nechce vrátit... Dá přednost bezpečnému každodennímu životu, nebo omamující lásce v náručí smrti? První díl nové strhující „podsvětní“ řady.

Představovala jsem si, co by řekl táta, kdyby tady byl. 'Víš, kdo já jsem?' zařval by. Přestože jsem uvnitř byla celá ztuhlá, cítila jsem teplo vycházející z plamenů za mnou. Jak jsem mohla být mrtvá, když jsem stále měla cit? Jak?

Hodnocení

Do příběhu Pierce vstupujeme párty na počest jejího příchodu na Ostrov kostí, jež pořádá její matka. A hned se také seznamujeme s dalšími příslušníky rodiny- bratrancem Alexem, strýčkem Chrisem, ... Hned se také dozvídáme, že Pierce je tak trochu výjimečná. Patří k té hrstce lidí, kteří přežili svou smrt. A co by to bylo za člověka, kdyby se Alex své sestřenice nezeptal jaké je to po smrti. Upřímně, na tuhle otázku chceme znát odpověď nejspíš všichni.
